National Artificial Intelligence Research Resource Pilot(NAIRR)
The National Artificial Intelligence Research Resource (NAIRR) Pilot, launched in 2024 and led by the National Science Foundation (NSF) in partnership with multiple federal agencies, is a strategic initiative aimed at broadening access to advanced AI research infrastructure across the United States. The pilot serves as a foundational step toward building a national resource that provides researchers and educators—particularly those from underrepresented and under-resourced institutions—with equitable access to computational tools, curated datasets, pre-trained models, and educational resources.
